Day 11 I was whacked out of a deep sleep, at 8am by banging and clattering around in the kitchen. I pulled the pillow over my head and tried to go back to sleep. I finally gave up and hollered at PJ- "what are YOU doin in there?" " I can't find the muffin pan" I got up and read the paper over blueberry muffins. PJ took a vacation day, so was home for the day. I made a few phone calls back home. I called my wife at work, and updated her on my travels. I told her PJ was taking good care of me, and that I was leaving in the morning for Colorado. My attempt to get PJ to wash my clothes proved futile. So I sorted my stuff, and went to the garage and cranked up the washing machine. After I showered we loaded in her Mustang and went to Costco. It felt funny to be in a car again. At Costco I had a roll of film developed and picked up a camera. PJ picked up a few items. True to her childhood ways, she bought us ice cream sandwiches. We spent the afternoon talking about family, and old times. I was in college and she was in Jr. High, when I took her and boyfriend to the State Fair in October. We laughed at how sick her boyfriend got on the Salt and Pepper ride. I took a nap and woke up at 5pm. I watched the local news. and a reporterette is giving a on scene report at a large wildfire just north of Flagstaff. I hope it does not cause me trouble tomorrow. I took PJ out for a steak dinner. She let me drive her Mustang and it felt odd not be so focused on the road surface. I had a great T bone, medium well. The evening passed very quickly. On the way home we stopped at the video store and rented "Gladiator" I said- "Not seen Gladiator yet??" "noooo" "so you don't get out much in Phoenix?" "shut up" I packed my stuff and went over the ST, before settling down with popcorn and the movie. I liked "Gladiator" so didn't mind watching it again. I feel asleep on the couch about 11pm.
