Day 4
October 12th, 2003
West Chester,
Pennsylvania

Not much to report today.  I slept late, and watched football, and had a ham sandwich lunch.  I don't eat much ham anymore.  I carried a ham sandwich to work everyday for 2 years at the pickle plant.  My first shift at the fire department the guys had chili dogs, and I thought I was in heaven.  The next shift they bought stuff for ham sandwiches and I thought I was going to die.

I said then if I ever get in charge, I was never going to eat a ham sandwich lunch.  Now I am  and have pretty much lived up to that promise.  We eat ham maybe once or twice a year.  I didn't say anything when my Aunt Connie put a ham sandwich in front of me, being the polite boy I am.

The Chiefs beat the Packers in overtime today and put me in the tank.

I took my aunt and uncle out for supper tonight, it was nothing fancy but you would have thought I was Santa Claus by the way they carried on.   When we returned home, I ran a small load of clothes just because I had nothing else to do.  I'm ready to get back on the road in the morning.
