My day to day trip journals
The links below take you to my trip
journals. Inside the folders are the day to day stories of a long
tour. Each tour enriched my life, and subtly changed me. These
are the stories of my experiences while discovering America, meeting great
people, and making new friends.
I tried to write each journal in such a way a
reader can feel he is along for the ride. I wanted to convey in my
notebook the excitement of seeing this country's most amazing scenery, and the
thrill of riding 2 wheels across such a vast and varied land. The journals
are chock full of the little things, because in the long run, they are what make
each ride special. I write not only of the places I visit, but the people
I meet. I've been so very fortunate to meet some really great folks, all
over America and Canada.
Pick a journal and take a ride with me.
Together we will sample the thrill of riding twisty mountain roads from
California to Nova Scotia, we will see stunning sunrises and sunsets, we will
stand before the Grand Canyon, Crater Lake, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Ground
Zero in New York City. We will ride under a canopy of New England fall
color, visit great battlefields, our nations capital, and sample Key West
beaches.
You will be along for the ride as I battle fog in
the Blue Ridge, and ferocious thunderstorms in the Mid West. Feel what
it's like to blitz a lonely desert highway at 110mph. Bounce along
with me as I conquer the bombed out roads of the Canadian Maritimes, and then we
will relax in a quiet campground with steaks on the fire.
All the above are contained in the stories
below. Each journal is a personal treasure of mine because of the
experiences within, each tucked away in a cyber hope chest. I hope you
find them interesting.
