I call this the "Take us to your leader" pic.  This is what the well dressed Long Riders are wearing for the upcoming season.  From Left VJ, Don, Dennis, and Guy.  We just completed our photo op in the Giant Redwoods and were suiting up for the ride south.

Sometimes you just plain forget stuff.  I fail to recall the mountains in the background, for the record I can't even remember taking the picture.  I researched the day stamp, and traced it down to somewhere in Arizona, probably around the Jerome area.

The red rocks of Sedona State Park.  I was off the bike hiking the trails when I took this picture.  It was quite an adventure.  The temp was close to 100 no humid degrees.

With rain clouds looming in the distance, I enjoyed this view of Wautauga Lake in the Northeast Tennessee hills.  I was riding south to Gatlinburg, from the DC area on this day.

The Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho, near Stanley.  The beauty of this valley was awe inspiring.  It was mid morning when the ST and I passed through.  The air was cool and I could feel the crispness on my face, and my warm breath fogged the Arai when I stopped.  The road was all mine, and the solitude was like therapy.  The cows grazing in the distance paid me no attention.  It is mornings like this, that make me thankful for who I am.  The images from this ride will forever be tucked away.  West Coast Tour 2003

All that is left of Lebanon, Kansas.  Like most towns in the Heartland, everyone has left or died out.  The town is the center of America.  I came back to this picture after reading a few counties in Kansas are giving away land to modern homesteaders.  All you have to do is develop it.      West Coast 2003

The Pirates Alley, near Jackson Square in the French Quarter of New Orleans. This narrow passage connects Royal Street with the Square. The succulent odors from nearby sidewalk cafes were making me hungry as I strolled the sidewalk.  The clip clop sound of a horse buggy echoed off the buildings, and I could hear jazz music coming from nearby Preservation Hall.  New Orleans is one of America's most unique and flavorful cities.  The Southland Tour 2004

The Virginia owner of this lawn mower wanted 500 dollars for the pictured lawn machine.  He said he just bought a new John Deere and needed to get rid of it.  I told him I would help him out by with a web site post.  He lives on SR 91.  If the mower is gone when y'all get there he said to stop anyway for a chat and lemonade.   Southland Tour 2004

These are the homes along the Charleston, South Carolina waterfront.  They have a great few of the harbor.
